Post From the Past
Some thoughts found on my old blog. I thought I might post them for sentimental value.
- I wonder how many of the oil company activists used to like the Beverly Hillbillies.
- I dream of one day travelling the world. I would love to see what this planet is really made of and the people that have made it that way. Culture is important to me and by no means do I want people to lose their sense of culture with in their background or their current community. I love Canada for this vary reason. One of the most anticipated things about travelling is the knowledge that it will change me. I am interested in being affected by the different cultures and beautiful / terrifying places of the world around me.
- If it were socially acceptable, I would dress like Gandhi everywhere.
- I think ouverture-facile is the best (and one of the hardest) games on earth.
- What keeps you? What drives you? These two factors are the building blocks of personal ambition. Everyone has a key goal in life. Some have small goals laid out as stepping stones while others throw caution to the wind ignoring all talk of limitations. I’d place myself in the centre of that scale. Structure is important to me and laying out said stepping stones is a personal motivator as well as a safety net. Without fail, I’m a dreamer. I shoot for the stars, while allowing gravity to cushion my falls. This is what keeps me. This is what drives me.
- I think all facts are hilarious.
- When I was twelve I thought I was exactly like Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye. I had a huge imagination back then. Good thing I didn’t actually act like him.
- “I love what I do and I do what I love.” You don’t hear this much anymore. Well, unless you stumble upon some infomercial selling you a stay-at-home enterprise that will make you a billionaire. But in my case I strive for it.
- I laugh at funerals – not to be disrespectful. I just get the giggles is all.
- Comedy, sadness, joy, anger, pride, doubt, laughter; there is something beautiful about music. Whether it is punk, metal, jazz, country, alt-rock, rap, math-rock, shoe-gaze, or folk, all that needs to be accomplished is the ability to grant the listener an emotional tie to the song or album. This trait of music fits all genres and types. I write and play my own songs and hope to catch some of the majestic imagery that some of my favourite artists have captured in theirs.
- I’m nocturnal… Or simply a daytime narcoleptic / night-time insomniac.
- Vanity is a dish best served somewhere else.
- I’d have to say my favourite book is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien hands down. That and The Lord of the Rings. Epic novels!
